THAI-MU will provide you with a Thai massage therapist qualification course with practical and theory training at our salon in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.
This therapist qualification certified by ATMS (Australian Traditional Medicine Society) is recognized in Australia and Japan.
As well as ATMS qualification, there is an Internationally recognized qualification course for Thai Wat Po.
The course is associated with the Wat Po Thai school In Sukhumvit.
You will have an advantage to enter the school in Thailand.
ATMS course
50 hours lesson
The course training will be held at the Thai-mu over 3 to 4 weeks period.
Our course is very felxible as you can chose to attend the training
at your prefered time.
Focus on physical practices
We mainly focus on physical exercise as well as learning the body structure. A wholistic approach is the secret to learning massage techniques and our lecturer will also teach you the spiritual aspects vital to mastering Thai massage. For most students the first half of the curriculum is challenging and after that the techniques become much easier to master.
Completion of the course
On completion of the training the students are presented with their ATMS qualifications. These qualifications are recognized in Australia and Japan and with these qualifications you can start working at THAI-MU straightaway so start a new professional career today.

WAT PO Course
Training at Wat Po School in Thailand are available after completion of ATMS course.
The next step would be “Thai Wat Po” basic course. Wat Po is a traditional Thai medical massage that has been used among Thai Royal Family for long time. These days, it has been recognized worldwide and is a popular therapy in many up-market spa salons.
The Thai Wat Po basic course provides 30 hours of training at Wat Po School in Thailand. If you take training at THAI-MU and become ATMS qualified, you will get exemption of some parts of the curriculum.
Message from a THAI MU lecturer
I have had a lower back pain for long time. When I visited Thailand on holidays, I had treatments using traditional Thai massage which resulted a great reduction in my back pain as well as my general body condition.
Since then I have been attracted to Thai massage, I interested in learning more and gaining my qualifications.
When I first studied Thai massage, it was not well recognized and it was hard to find a Thai massage salon. These days, Thai massage is quite popular and I think people have realized the benefits of Thai massage.
Many students or working holiday makers and young people come to stay in Australia. Most of them are seeking something new to learn. I found studying Thai Massage very enjoyable and has given me a new direction to follow.
